The WP8548 module is part of the WP Series offering a
secure device-to-cloud architecture enabling IoT developers to
build a Linux-based product on a single module - reducing overall
system complexity and time-to-market.
3G technology is proven, reliable, widely deployed, and offers
greater longevity compared to 2G while remaining relatively
inexpensive compared to deploying on 4G LTE networks.
This embedded module delivers up to 42 Mbps download speed on
any 3G network in the world and is ideal for IoT applications not
requiring broadband connectivity such as smart meters,
point-of-sale or ATM terminals, building automation, and rugged
handhelds to name a few.

mangOH® Green open source reference
design is the official development kit for the WP Series, providing
a sensor-to-cloud platform for rapidly prototyping ideas and
getting them to production quickly. mangOH Green offers a built-in
accelerometer/gyroscope, audio codec, battery charger, and an
Arduino shield connector. Alternatively, mangOH® Red
is a lower cost prototyping platform that also supports the
WP Series with different sets of peripherals. mangOH Green and Red
are compatible with all WP variants including WPx5xx, WP76xx, and
WP77xx.
